Washington Huskies v Utah Utes
College Football’s Championship Weekend gets underway with this huge Pac 12 title game. These two sides met earlier in Week 3, a game the Huskies won 21-7. Both of these sides feature two of the top scoring defences in the country, so it’s likely we see much of this game played on the ground. Huskies running back Myles Gaskin enjoyed a huge day last week in a win over Washington State, rushing for 170-yards and three touchdowns. There won’t be a lot of points, but the Huskies should squeak this one out by at least a touchdown.
Central Coast Mariners vs Sydney FC
Central Coast have managed just two-points all season and remain winless through the opening five weeks. Third-placed Sydney FC are looking to bounce back following last week’s loss to the Victory, but it looks as though the Sky Blues are a little out of form. Still, Sydney have lost to Central Coast just once in the last 10-years, and have managed a 4-2-1 record as the away favourite against the Mariners.
Newcastle v West Ham United
All of a sudden the Magpies have woken up from their slumber to win three straight games. Traveling back to St. James’ Park this weekend, Newcastle are the slight favourites against a West Ham side that suffered a 4-0 defeat against Manchester City last week. In Newcastle’s favour is a 4-1 record against the Hammers in their last five games. But against them is a sloppy 2-7 home record this season, which makes the draw the likely outcome.
