Paulo is a lightly raced four year old from the Kris Lees stable that looks well placed in a race of this quality. He was narrowly denied on debut over the 800m a fortnight ago and will appreciate the extra distance.

San Marco has always been a horse that has raced consistently. He has filled the placings in 9 of his 16 race starts and has been runner up in both his races this prep. The barrier is not ideal but he will appreciate the extra distance.

Buddy’s Ode is a horse that performs fresh and looks well in the weights for a race like this. He has drawn the inside barrier and the double figure odds available at the moment seems juicy.
