Taree – Race 4 3:50pm AEDT
Royal Monarch didn’t have any luck in running whatsoever at Scone on debut after being caught wide in the early stages and he still wasn’t beaten far. He has drawn wide again, which isn’t ideal, but this is a fairly weak field, and there is no doubt that he is a horse with some upside.
Taree – Race 5 4.30pm AEDT
Diamond Deluxe has recorded two wins on the trot in impressive fashion and there is no doubt that the mare is racing in career best form. There is no fitter horse in this field and she maps to get a dream run in transit from barrier three with Andrew Gibbons in the saddle. There is no reason she can’t make it three wins on the trot.
Taree – Race 6 5.10pm AEDT
Gordon’s Leap will return to the races for the first time since he won an edition of the Highway Handicap at Royal Randwick in September last year. He is still only a lightly-raced horse and he does have form around a number of talented gallopers. If he brings anything like his best form, he will prove very tough to beat.
Taree Race 7 – Race 7 5:50pm AEDT
Exdream bolted in to win as a short-priced favourite at Coffs Harbour last start and he had no trouble running out a strong 1200 metres. This race is tougher, but there is no other horse in this field with as much upside and he makes his own luck right on the speed in the early stages of the contest.
